Job Description:
Remitly is on a mission to transform the lives of immigrants and their families by providing the most trusted financial products and services on the planet. Since 2011, we have been tirelessly delivering on our promises to immigrants sending their hard earned money home. Today, we are reimagining international payments at scale and building new products to create deeper relationships with our customers and their loved ones across the globe. Join over 2,700 employees across 10 offices who are growing their careers while having a positive impact on people globally.
Remitly is registered as a Money Services Business in the U.S., Canada, EU, United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia. Each of these jurisdictions require, among other items, that Remitly maintain a comprehensive Risk and Compliance Program.
About the Role The Fraud Prevention team builds and operates essential Tier-1 services that prevent tens of millions of dollars in financial losses each year. Fraud owns low-latency risk detection platforms, identity verification experiences, and everything in between. We are now hiring a senior software engineer to help drive impactful system changes such as: self-service features for risk detection, account security products (e.g. risk-based MFA), and in-product identity verifications (e.g. card scanning, ID photo upload). As a senior software engineer on the team you'll work autonomously with partner teams and product management to build new products end to end, lead internal and cross-team projects that drive company wide improvements, and lay the technical foundation for years to come. This will be a full stack role with 70-80% of work on the backend and 20-30% on the frontend.
