Position Title: Premium and Suites Supervisor
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Premium and Suites Manager
Classification: Part-Time
Compensation: $22.00 Hour
Please note that the Toyota Arena Food and Beverage employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and union membership is a condition of employment is a union membership.
Position Description: The Premium and Suites Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Premium and Suites Manager in overseeing event day operations of the Toyota Arena Premium and Suites areas and Bars.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures all suites in designated area are properly set before guests arrive
- Oversees Premium and Suite Servers during events
- Trains Premium Suite Servers on department standards and procedures
- Must be able to read and understand Suite Event Orders (EO)
- Maintains existing equipment needed for service
- Orders all replacement items and equipment under the direction of the Premium and Suites Manager
- Ensures all requisitions to the Warehouse and Kitchen are received in a timely manner, in accordance with Company policy.
- Coordinates with Kitchen on the timing and production of functions
- Must possess effective and collaborative communications skills to liaise between Sales, Kitchen, and Warehouse Teams
- Works closely with Sales Team to maximize guest experience and engagement
- Works closely with Suite Attendants and Kitchen staff to ensure proper presentation and set food quantities are met
- Develops a positive rapport with guests
- Follows responsible alcohol service policies
- Supervises and coordinates Suite Attendants, including training on company and departmental standards and providing constructive and corrective feedback as needed
- Ensures a positive and impactful guest experience by delivering professional and courteous guest service.
- Receives and facilitates any suite guests’ and attendants’ requests and orders
- Analyzes and resolves problems with associates, guests, and the operation with the assistance of the Premium Suites Manager
- Learns and must be comfortable with all food and beverage menu items to effectively complete financial transactions and answer guests’ questions and upsell for maximum profitability
- Ensures all event day food and beverage orders arrive in a timely manner and quickly addresses any discrepancies with appropriate area and Premium Suites Manager
- Maintain a clean, organized, stocked and safe area
- Immediately reports any low inventory and safety and maintenance issues to Suites Manager
- Completes and assists Suite Attendants with opening and closing duties as outlined according to departmental standards
- Responsible for performing end of month inventory for suites pantry according to inventory standards.
- Oversees proper presentation, preparation and service needs in conjunction with all food and beverage departments to ensure the highest standards are met
- Must be prepared to execute last minute changes, inspect service set ups in time for all staff final call. Imperative to hold pre-function meetings to discuss meal, service, and suite assignments, etc.
- Takes initiative in recommending and implementing new standards or systems with Premium Manager’s approval
- Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive in maximizing employee morale thus increasing overall productivity
- Adheres to the utmost client confidentiality.
- Abides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of Conduct.

Experience/Training/Education Requirements:
- Must be a minimum 21 years of age
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field desired
- Previous customer service and cash handling experience is a plus
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in supervisory level position in Food and Beverage or equivalent training experience
- Must be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues
- Working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
License/Certificate:

TIPS Certified
Ability to:
- Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in positive motivation and teamwork

- Must have basic math ability to accurately count inventory
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 25lbs. throughout the day as well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear communicate with guests. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
