Senior Engineer (Lean manufacturing)

MedTech company Stryker is looking for Manufacturing Engineer experienced in applying lean manufacturing methodologies for various processes for its new manufacturing site in Skawina. Stryker manufactures titanium and stainless steel implants and instruments with use of key manufacturing processes like metal processing (CNC machines - milling, grinding, swiss lathe turning), Surface finishing (electropolishing, anodization, tumbling, cleaning, degreasing, passivation, sand blasting, mechanical polishing, bending, laser marking and engraving), clean and sterile packaging in Clean Rooms.

Scope of duties

  • Management of significant Engineering projects from Lean manufacturing perspective
  • Provide Technical leadership from an Lean manufacturing perspective
  • Develop and maintain plant layout (machines/equipment locations, floor space usage, material flow etc.)
  • Develop production lines/cell layouts
  • Overseeing the performance of machines and production lines using Ignition software.
  • Building a database of machine capabilities
  • Continuously improve the performance of the process by using Lean manufacturing tools (6S, SMED, etc.)
  • Provide support to Process Development / Advanced Operations on technology development and application within the manufacturing process
  • Selection of potential suppliers for Lean manufacturing solutions
  • Creation of all relevant Work Instructions and Procedures.
  • Integration of new process with MES / SAP systems.
  • Support role in process validation procedure / documentation.
  • Train and mentor operators and engineers

Our expectations

  • Master degree in mechanics, industrial engineering or similar.
  • 4 years experience in serial production industries (MedTech or Automotive preferable).
  • Excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen methodology, 6S etc.
  • Experience in implementing new lean solutions in mass production environment.
  • Experience in using Ignition, MES systems will be an advantage.
  • Very good AutoCad skills.
  • Very good PC skills.
  • Very good English communication skills.

Travel Percentage: 10%
