In this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance web applications and backend services that power critical business functions. This hybrid role balances 60% hands-on engineering work with 40% technical leadership and collaboration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys coding, system architecture, and mentoring others.
While the focus is on backend engineering, we are looking for someone with working knowledge of front-end technologies like JavaScript and ReactJS to effectively troubleshoot and collaborate across the full stack. You will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, implementing best practices, and ensuring that the solutions we build are robust, maintainable, and aligned with long-term business goals.

Collaborating closely with product managers, UI developers, QA engineers, and DevOps, you will help translate business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
You will be responsible for resolving full-stack issues, especially those requiring backend insight but touching frontend components. You will actively support production systems and help maintain system health through logging, monitoring, and optimization. As a technical leader, you will mentor engineers, set direction on architecture and code quality, and foster a supportive and high-performing team culture. You’ll also help modernize our platforms using containerization, event streaming, and Kubernetes-based deployments. Looking for a self-motivated lead engineer who always keep up with latest technology advancements, continuously learn and mentor others.
Having experience with hybrid cloud deployments, observability platforms such as Splunk or Datadog, and legacy system modernization is a strong plus. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions will help you integrate seamlessly into our engineering workflow. Prior experience working with microservices, private link networking, and Kubernetes will be advantageous.

You’ll play a critical part in driving our technology vision forward and ensuring that we execute across multiple initiatives.
We’re looking for a passionate, impactful, technical leader who wants to come here to do their very best work and make their mark, add their chapter to the long and storied history of The Walt Disney Company.
