SUMMARY:
The Head of Talent will oversee Talent Acquisition and Talent Management functions, playing a pivotal role in the attraction, hiring, and retention of Alternate Solutions Health Network employees. This position will develop and implement short and long-range Talent strategies to support the company’s mission and overall business goals. In this role, the Head of Talent will oversee all aspects of Talent for current and future Alternate Solutions Health Network agencies and should possess strong business knowledge, exhibit strong communication skills, understand the nuances of recruiting across traditional and non-traditional channels, and have strong leadership skills to efficiently and cost-effectively attract and retain a high caliber workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
Must have 12 years of progressive HR/Talent Acquisition experience with 5+ years of experience leading a Talent function. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or organizational design is preferred.
Experience in building and managing high-performing teams, including setting goals, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Ability to develop and communicate a vision for growing and developing talent, establishing processes and monitoring efficiency.
Demonstrated success in establishing strong partnerships with leaders to build systems and processes that build strong teams.
Deep understanding of recruitment best practices, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection processes.
Ability to analyze data and metrics to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies, and make data-driven decisions.
An action-oriented personality, comfortable working at both strategic and tactical levels, and one who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to get things done, while remaining a collaborative team player.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR TALENT:
Lead all Talent strategy for current agencies and future partnerships.
Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with business goals, including quality and diversity of talent and efficiency of the recruiting process.
Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition activities, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and staff development.
Manage the workforce planning process, which includes forecasting, talent pipeline development, and workforce gap analysis. Define talent strategy and priorities, create workforce development plans, and implement concrete tactics to achieve them.
Develop an employer brand, strengthen the Alternate Solutions Health Network brand, and position Alternate Solutions Health Network as an employer of choice.
Lead efforts to develop relationships to attract and source candidates from external sources, schools, and professional networks.
Provide consultation on talent acquisition-related topics, including marketplace trends, talent availability, emerging staffing trends, and strategies. Identify key performance indicators and assess the organization’s success and market competitiveness.
Develop competencies, learning paths, and promotion criteria to create a clear and structured career progression roadmap that helps team members align their skills, aspirations, and strengths and maximize contributions and productivity.
Develop strategic initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) within the organization. Execute DEIB initiatives with an emphasis on developing talent strategies for underrepresented groups, collaborating with HR Operations, Total Rewards, Employee Engagement, and Learning & Development to ensure a connected talent agenda.
Lead Affirmative Action Planning (AAP) activities, reporting findings to internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Talent Specialists (all levels)
Interviewing, hiring, training and termination of department personnel.
Provides consistent coaching and provides challenge and opportunity to direct reports.
Supervises direct reports with consistency and clarity of expectations.
Completes yearly evaluations in an accurate and timely manner.
Performs coaching, counseling and discipline as needed.
Works with direct reports to ensure employee satisfaction and resolution of issues and concerns.
