Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support the Waimea Ground program.
The Software Tech Lead will work closely under the Software Lead and help to lead software development activities. Candidate will need to have experience with RF Signal Data Processing as well as various coding languages, CI/CD pipelines, Agile processes and the Atlassian tool suite.
This position is contingent upon the Waimea program receiving ATP for their Phase B proposal.
This position will be at our site in Redondo Beach, CA. The program does support other SCIF locations in Linthicum, MD or Fairfax, VA
This position requires being on-site and does not support remote or hybrid work.
This position is contingent upon the verification and transfer of current/active DoD security clearance and program access as required for business needs.
Basic Qualifications
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application [US Citizenship required]
Minimum years of experience needed to be considered: 12 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's; 10 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's; 8 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD; 16 years of relevant work software engineering experience in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required)
Experience with RF Signal Data Processing
Experience with C/C++/Python/Java
Experience with DevSecOps environments in CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Agile programs and methodology
Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Experience with Gitlab
