Processing Technician - Central Processing Unit - Full Time - Evenings

Bring your talents to our tight-knit team, and provide the support our laboratory technologists need to complete tests that drive high-quality care and caring. Register patients, process requisition forms and perform accessioning functions. Conduct centrifugation and separate samples into aliquots. Label specimens, and distribute them to appropriate laboratory sections for testing. 

This is an evening shift position working from 4:00 pm - 12:00 am, plus alternate weekends and rotating holidays. Location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2 years experience in specimen processing in a clinical laboratory

• Prior data entry experience

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
