The Position:

The ADI Automotive Battery Management System (BMS) team is developing leading edge BMS solutions (wired and wireless) and innovative Battery insight algorithms, enabling industry leading automotive OEMs to bring their next generation electric vehicles to the market. This New Product Logistics’ Specialist role will lead the logistics aspects of the new product development developed within BMS Business Unit.  The role will liaise between product line and manufacturing organizations.  The ideal candidate will be strong in logistics and operations role and have the experience in the new product logistics tools for new product development and release to off-shore subcons. The position reports to the Director of Project/Program Management within the Business Unit.

  

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Coordinate all logistics aspects of New Product development for the group
  • Liaise between product line and manufacturing organisations
  • Create, review with the team, submit  &  check progress ATO, PRIME, SARFs & SLR applications which are used in ADI for product development, and any other manufacturing interface forms for all the projects
  • Order all material required for development projects and monitor progress to ensure instructions are carried out as required
  • Review the status of WIPs for evaluation, qualification, characterization and report to team on progress versus commits
  • Manage and disposition any engineering WIPs and escalate/expedite material when required
  • Identify process weaknesses which results in material delays and errors, develop solutions & implement changes
  • Maintain PLE (Product Life Environment) milestones on the projects
  • Manage and track status across multiple projects

The ideal candidate …

  • Degree in Science with 1-2 years of experience in any logistics role
  • Strong planning, analytical skills are essential
  • Be self-motivated, and willing to accept responsibility
  • Willing to take risks to try the existing process and suggest improvements
  • Possess strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes and drive tasks to closure by coordinating with multiple groups
  • Quick learner and continuous learning on the job
  • Detail oriented and multitasking
