Position Description:
Designs, develops, and maintains Java/J2EE and Node.JS based applications in an Agile environment. Implements front-end solutions using JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, HTML, and Browser Developer. Performs DevOps, automated testing, and applies Continuous Delivery (CD) methodologies, using Groovy and Jenkins. Performs troubleshooting and performance tuning and provides production support and maintenance of existing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Works on Relational (MySQL and PostgreSQL) and Non-Relational (MongoDB) databases. Provides business solutions by developing complex, multi-faceted software applications. Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the strategic direction of the business and participates in the research and recommendation of appropriate models, methods, tools, and technologies to achieve business-wide solutions.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Software Engineering (or closely related occupation) designing and developing resilient full-stack Java, distributed, and event-driven applications.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Software Engineering (or closely related occupation) designing and developing resilient full-stack Java, distributed, and event-driven applications.
