QUALITY ASSURANCE

What We Do

The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.

What You'll Do

As a Senior SDET on LEGO Fortnite, you will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure that we are building new frameworks and maintaining our testing infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to, our CI/CD pipeline, content validation, client automation, and services automation. This role has room to grow and the ability to help mentor junior SDETs.

In this role, you will

  • Help our automation infrastructure grow to scale with our LEGO Fortnite product.
  • Maintain performance standards within our automation infrastructure.
  • Design and build critical operational infrastructure.
  • Work closely with all development team disciplines, including Engineering, Production, QA, Design, and Art.
  • Be a subject matter expert in our test frameworks including those in Unreal Engine and other bespoke internal frameworks.

What we're looking for

  • Strong understanding of at least one OOP programming language, preferably C# or C++.
  • Have previous work experience as an SDET/Gameplay Engineer working with a game engine, preferably Unreal Engine
  • At least seven years of programming experience, and have designed and maintained an automation framework that supported live products.
  • Are extremely curious and want to dig into a problem space to design lasting solutions.
  • Have experience with cloud and on-prem computing.
  • Understand platform supportability and manage test load across a broad set of supported devices.
  • Preferably a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
