As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee and optimize the entire accounts payable function, ensuring the timely, accurate processing of invoices and payments in compliance with company policies and financial regulations. You will lead the implementation of ERP systems and AP automation tools to centralize AP functions, improving processing speed, accuracy, and reporting capabilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, mentoring the offshore AP team, and ensuring the smooth execution of the AP-related month-end close process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and optimize the entire accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices, timely payments, and adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
  • Spearhead the implementation and continuous improvement of ERP systems and AP automation tools, with a goal of centralizing AP functions (minimizing reliance on third-party vendors) to enhance processing speed, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, proactively resolving complex billing and payment issues, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring smooth and consistent vendor operations.
  • Lead and mentor the offshore AP team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and growth within the team.
  • Manage the AP-related month-end close process, including account reconciliations, accurate accruals, and preparation of all necessary documentation to support month-end close and audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, and legal standards. Lead the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and addressing any audit findings or recommendations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant accounts payable experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience in AP automation and ERP system implementations, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth company.
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and public company reporting standards is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Our competitive total rewards package includes cash compensation within the range provided below. Actual pay for this position may vary based on the hired candidate’s location, experience and relevant incumbent pay position.
