JOB SUMMARY

As an Associate Project Manager, you will help oversee small to medium-sized projects or subprojects across engineering, manufacturing, product development, and cross-functional teams. You will support project planning, coordination, execution, and communication while managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk. Working under the guidance of senior project or program managers, you’ll play a critical role in successful project delivery while gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop and maintain basic project plans, schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor budgets, track resources, and support cost control efforts.
  • Assist with risk identification, issue tracking, and change control processes.
  • Manage small-scale projects or workstreams through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain key project documentation, including risk logs, status updates, dashboards, and meeting minutes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Coordinate internal and external communications across functions such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance.
  • Facilitate and document regular status meetings and stakeholder updates.
  • Support bid and proposal development, include SOWs, quotations, and contract documentation.
  • Help manage stakeholder expectations and align deliverables with business goals.

Reporting & Tools

  • Track and report project performance using project management tools and BI dashboards.
  • Utilize software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, SharePoint, or Primavera P6 for scheduling and coordination.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for leadership review.
  • Contribute to the improvement of PMO tools, templates, and processes.

Process & Quality Support

  • Support documentation workflows and compliance with quality processes (e.g., ECNs, APQP, PDP).
  • Assist in developing training content and support knowledge transfer across project teams.
  • Maintain regulatory and safety compliance for assigned projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one (1) or more years of relevant experience (equivalent to seven (7) years total in education and experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • PMP or CAPM certification (or actively working toward one).
  • Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, or product development settings.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, PowerBI, Tableau, or Primavera.
  • Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM), ECN processes, and phase gate frameworks.
  • Experience with business process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, CMMI).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with project scheduling and tracking tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Pay Range:

$64,500.00 - $103,500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
