Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Procurement Agent (L3) to join and support the Boeing Distribution, Inc. (BDI) Procurement team in Dallas, TX. The selected candidate will be an integral member of the team by collaborating cross-functionally with both internal and external clients/customers, and suppliers on a regular basis. The ability to develop and foster long lasting, confidence based relationships with all clients/customers and suppliers is crucial, as well as delivering and executing the highest level of service in the industry. A receptive attitude towards constructive feedback and guidance from trainers, teammates, and leaders will greatly contribute towards the initial and ongoing growth and development in their new position.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with BGS government program managers to source goods, in order to meet both domestic and foreign government and defense contract requirements

  • Support the planning and implementation of all activities related to the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services

  • Support the development and integration of in-service programs, customer service, and product quality strategies

  • Consult with both internal and external clients/customers to resolve supplier performance and quality issues as they arise

  • Source, research and evaluate suppliers for process orders to purchase services, products/supplies, and equipment based on price, service, quality and warranty to meet current customer needs

  • Collaborate and support negotiation strategies resulting in awarded contracts, including all contract terms and conditions such pricing, service and delivery expectations,

  • Support the oversight and management of supplier scheduling/delivery, product quality, and pricing compliance by interpreting and enforcing contract terms and conditions

  • Monitor key performance indicators/metrics to evaluate overall supplier performance, and communicate any deviations from the contractually agreed expectations to the required parties

  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into negotiation and contracting strategies

  • Supports Supply Chain and Procurement improvement processes by identifying and communicating opportunities to the appropriate teams

 

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Dallas, TX.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer, Supplier Program Manager, Supply Chain Management Analyst/Item Manager, or Supply Base Manager

  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes

  • 3+ years of experience with procurement in a defense and/or government environment (domestic and/or foreign)

  • 3+ years of experience in interacting with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

  • Willingness & ability to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in SAP Procure to Pay or Accounts Payable

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or other related field

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Summary pay range: $79,900 - $108,100
