Printpack Jackson is seeking a qualified candidate to fill their Lead Operator role for Converting 2nd Shift.

This position will work 3pm - 11pm, Monday - Friday.

The Lead Operator is primarily responsible for providing technical leadership and support for their assigned team. They will be considered the Master Trainer for the department and will drive safety and continuous improvement. They will have the ability or will learn to operate all machinery in the department, safely and efficiently in accordance with specifications and quality standards while also assisting others to develop their skills.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment, leading others to improve and maintain safety standards

· Provide training and technical leadership to meet or exceed key performance metrics

· Respond to any equipment stoppages/line problems; be available for team members, remaining in close proximity, and improve Prism accuracy on shift

· Troubleshoot and accurately diagnose machine and process issues; SME for machines, processes and safeguards

· Ensure timely and accurate set-ups are taking place within the shift

· Ensure quality product is being produced

· Ensure machines are meeting parameters

· Communicate issues to leadership and work in tandem with Supervisor

· Respond to problems and investigate issues reported by customers

· Work to improve set-up efficiency through standardized work, ISO, 5S and QCO best practices

· Ensure associate growth and team rotation, cross train team members on all aspects of the job

· Drive results in the key metrics of safety, waste, quality, and productivity

· Collaborate with plant leadership to achieve overall plant objectives

· Continually improve leadership skills

· Perform quality tests as needed

· Run equipment as needed
