As the Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in continuously improving the Trust organization’s execution framework using processes, systems, and data. You will partner with Trust domain leaders; and, Product Management, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering and Design to identify areas of opportunity, size impacts and drive insights into operational plans. You will use predictive analytics to inform marketplace level decisions and ensure solutions meet our stated goals and objectives while accounting for changing market and economic conditions. You will create the overarching infrastructure and operational strategy to drive measurable impact and scale across the Trust organization’s areas of focus. Lastly, you will ensure that the needs of our international teams are well represented.

What You’ll Do: 

Drive Strategic Insights: Apply strategic, operational and analytics standard processes to secure agreement from multiple partners for long-term solutions, and influence leaders across the Trust organization; building culture, establishing standards, and achieving goals.

 

Analyze & Identify Opportunities: Drive analysis of key problems to identify the next big opportunity to improve customer experience and trust for buyers & sellers on the platform.

 

Define & Monitor Metrics: Build and develop KPIs to track the trust experience of users on the platform. You will be responsible for monitoring the metrics and understanding the root causes behind the metric’s movement.

 

Be Accountable: Define business objectives and measure progress in achieving results; demonstrate strong commitment towards goals and driving complex projects focused on reducing customer contacts, improving cost, quality, customer experience, and delivering bottom line savings.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree, with 8+ years of relevant experience within two or more functional areas (e.g., Quantitative Research, Analytics, Data Science)

  • Deep data analysis expertise with the ability to find the trends and implications within data to inform sound decisions

  • Proven ability to design analytical solutions to tackle complex business problems; and to partner with cross-functional peers to tailor those solutions for the greatest possible impact

  • Deep understanding of ML domains, algorithms and best practices

  • Strong programming (Python/R) and data engineering skills

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Relentless execution, resourcefulness, and a track record of delivering results in challenging situations

  • Experience acting as the voice of the customer and channeling many points of view, synthesizing them to drive alignment even in times of friction or disagreement

  • Experience communicating insights through data with senior-level executives

  • Proven experience owning the delivery of large-scale programs (multi $B), experiences, and products from roadmapping to delivery, as well as managing elements related to full-funnel and end-to-end user journeys

  • Strong customer and stakeholder empathy
