The junior technician is the entry-level position in the service shop, we provide on the job training to get you to the next level! They can initiate and complete basic repair orders addressing routine scheduled maintenance and service. They will assist other shop technicians in the completion of more complex jobs through staging tools and materials and other handling support. They also assists in the maintenance of shop safety and compliance, identifying hazards and routinely organizing and cleaning workstations. The junior technician may be offered opportunities for boat detailing duties, advanced assignments and learning opportunities after demonstrating an aptitude and ability to accomplish more complex repair orders.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform basic technician duties: routine maintenance including oil changes, winterization, spark plug changes, battery changes, etc.
  • Consult directly with supervisor regarding any issues found or questions concerning the assigned task.
  • Display an efficient and timely work ethic.
  • Assist technicians with responsibilities including locating the correct tools for a particular job, checking that all parts needed are in stock or
  • ordered, filling fluids needed, driving a boat while technician diagnoses problems, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining safe work environment and organized and clean shop.

What A Qualified Candidate Looks Like:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent               
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend work orders                   
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience in technical trades a plus!
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment
  • Ability to comfortably work in confined spaces
  • Ability to safely bend, stoop, and climb ladders on a daily basis
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Great work ethic and self driven
  • Valid driver's license with MVR meeting company standards and clean background/drug screening
