Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst – Level 3 or 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in either Goleta, CA or Oxnard, CA. The role will support of Mission Enabling Products Business Unit and may be required to travel approximately 25% of the time.

The team provides a wide range of financial planning and reporting functions for a Payload and Ground Systems Business Unit, with over $700M in annual revenues and supports approximately nine operating units.

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create financial forecasts budget and provide regular budget forecast updates.
  • Analyze actual costs to budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with consolidation of all other FP&A metrics for Management review.
  • Support and perform ad-hoc what if modeling and reporting.
  • Audit support with the government DCMA/DCAA.
  • Making recommendations for change to optimize the profitability of the company.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related experience – OR – Master’s degree with 4+ years of related experience
  • An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Intermediate MS Excel experience to include data analysis, pivot tables, or Index(Match) functionality

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Level 4:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of related experience – OR – Master’s degree with 8+ years of related experience
  • An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Intermediate MS Excel experience to include data analysis, pivot tables, or Index(Match) functionality

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing or other business-related area
  • Microsoft Excel Expert Certification or Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate Certification
  • Experience with TM1 Perspective or other forecasting software

Salary Range: $88,700.00 - $133,100.00Salary Range 2: $109,900.00 - $164,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
