Job Description

We're Norton Rose Fulbright - a global law firm with over 50 offices and 7,000 employees worldwide. We provide the world’s preeminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. At Norton Rose Fulbright, our strategy and our culture are closely entwined. We know that our expansion will mean little unless it is underpinned by truly global collaboration and we understand that pioneering work only takes place when our people have room to move and think beyond boundaries. As well as the relevant skills and experience, we're looking for people who are innovative, commercial and value the work that they do.

Student Worker | Regulatory, Compliance & Investigations

We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious Student Worker for our Regulatory, Compliance & Investigations (RCI) practice in Amsterdam.

Our RCI practice

The Regulatory, Compliance & Investigations team of our Amsterdam office is part of our global practice which helps clients navigate the evolving and increasingly complex global regulatory environment, as well as national and international regulatory, anti-bribery and corruption, antitrust, sanctions, white-collar crime and human rights compliance issues, investigations and enforcement actions. Among others, the team deals with highly sensitive investigative matters for international corporations and financial institutions.

What will you be learning?

You will be learning how to address legal questions from practical perspective. How to assist clients by understanding their needs and develop legal solutions to their true challenges. You will be able to see how your knowledge and interest in the field of compliance and enforcement is translated into reality in actual cases.

Join a dynamic international practice based in Amsterdam and support our lawyers in conducting legal research in criminal law and white collar crime subject matters. You will be able to work on corporate internal investigations, which includes support in reviewing and analysing information, attending interviews with investigation subjects, conducting risk analysis, legal surveys, drafting opinions, legal memos and client alerts and preparing client-facing presentations and pitches.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate that:

- Is enthusiastic, pro-active, organized and eager to learn;

- Is interested in (financial) criminal law;

- Is a third-year Bachelor or Master student with strong academic performance;

- Has excellent Dutch and English writing skills;

- Can demonstrate analytical and communication skills and experience in conducting legal research;

- Is a self-starter, motivated and a good team member.
