What You Will Do
As the Technical Customer Support Engineer you will be involved in developing technical support, training, localization, customization, and translation, primarily focusing on South Korea. Additional duties will include:
 

  • Provide fast and efficient customer service to end-users and internal Trimble teams, escalate bug or requirement issues to solve problems or customer feedback, and create technical articles of issues.

  • Provide advanced technical sales assistance and technical support on problems of diverse scope, where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

  • Provide training, job site demonstrations, installation and troubleshooting, including presentation of modular programs and customized classes for support and product issues.

  • Provide regular fundamental training to customers and update training material. e.g. Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds and Trimble Connect.

  • Localization of the annual new version so that enables it to work in the Korea environment. Reflect customer feedback or KS construction standards or KBC code.

  • Create technical notes and documentation on the team's workflows and processes

  • Involving translation for products, brochures, letters, emails and websites considering technical knowledge and the Korea environment. 

  • Full use and application of professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems.

What Skills, Experience and Qualifications you should have:

  • Minimum Diploma in Structural Engineering background or equivalent

  • Available development language (C#, C++) is a plus

  • Knowledge and experience in Civil Engineering (Bridge) is a plus

  • At least 2 years of engineering experience in the AEC industry; Tekla Structures software experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with web/ social media

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Good communication skills in Korean and English – written, verbal and presentation

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Capable of working independently and in a team-based environment 

  • Adaptability, Numerical skills, IT skills
