Job Description

About the Role
As an ER Registrar, you are the welcoming face of our emergency department. You’ll manage patient intake, handle critical administrative functions, and guide patients and families through the registration process with professionalism and empathy. While this is a non-clinical role, your impact is essential to the overall patient experience and operational flow of the ER.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion
  • Collect and verify patient information for registration and admission
  • Explain and assist with completion of intake forms and required documentation
  • Validate insurance details and communicate coverage information clearly
  • Manage patient records while maintaining strict confidentiality standards
  • Handle incoming calls, maintain organized filing systems, and support front desk operations
  • Collect payments and provide general assistance to patients and visitors
  • Communicate wait times, policies, and procedures effectively

PRN (As-Needed) Commitment
This is a PRN position requiring a minimum of 12 hours bi-weekly, based on departmental needs. Additional hours may be requested by your supervisor to meet operational demands. Scheduling may vary, with flexibility required as hours can increase or decrease depending on unit needs.
