Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the fee earners to draft and related legal documents and support on all aspects of transactional matters
  • Document management 
  • Assisting with legal due diligence
  • Assisting with legal research
  • Assisting with office regulatory matters involving fee earners and interaction with relevant authorities
  • Preparing and updating relevant client, market and legal updates
  • Assisting with submissions to legal directories
  • Assisting with preparing fee proposals
  • Assisting new client and matter opening processes including client engagement arrangements
  • Assisting and managing document translations
  • Assisting and attending notarizations and other filings

Requirements:

  • A law degree holder with relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese 
  • Experience in managing a demanding workload
  • Has a positive and pro-active work attitude and can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible regarding working hours is essential
  • Attention to detail
