Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries seeks an Field Application Engineer who will have responsibility for driving new design wins and providing successful tape out support to customers with GlobalFoundries technology.

Serve as a customer facing single technical interface to APAC(China) customers.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Work with customers to find   new opportunities, carrying out successful evaluations leading to DWINs, and providing support during the Design-In phase to ensure a successful first-time-right NPI.   (FAE)

  • Cultivates long-term, strategic partnerships with  clients to generate growing demand for our differentiated solutions

  • Partners with Customer Application Engineering (CAE) and customer in the field to problem solve and develop solutions

  • Assists CAE, AM and customer  on the organization's semiconductor products throughout the development cycle to ensure successful completion of the application

  • Cultivates long-term, strategic partnerships with clients to generate growing demand for our differentiated solutions

  • Partners with Customer Application Engineering (CAE) and customer in the field to problem solve and develop solutions

  • Assists CAE, AM and customer on the organization's semiconductor products throughout the development cycle to ensure successful completion of the application

  • Operational & Sales Support: Assist Sales Leads in achieving revenue targets, respond to RFI/RFQs with compelling proposals, and contribute to internal reviews and planning meetings.

  • Process & Communication Excellence: Efficiently manage quotes, forecasts, and product dispositions while ensuring high customer satisfaction through cross-functional collaboration and clear communication.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Graduating with Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Business, or related field from an accredited degree program.

  • Min 2 years experience in semiconductor industry.

  • Candidates with a strong interest in business and internship experience in the semiconductor industry are preferred.

  • Knowledge and Skills: Understand the basic principles, methods, and practices of the professional field; be able to apply the company's policies and procedures to solve routine issues; be able to apply appropriate language skills (English is the working language and should meet the needs of business communication) based on the job environment.

  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

  • Travel - Up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.

  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Have good communication and coordination skills, team-work spirit, and logical thinking ability; be proficient in using Office software and have the ability of data analysis and report writing.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning & organizational skills
