Job Description​

The Scheduling Center provides customer service to patients, families, physicians, physician offices, the community and internal departments throughout the SLHS, that includes, but is not limited to scheduling tests, procedures and services, determining financial accountability, providing information and referrals, proactively problem solving concerns issues, and providing patient instructions and education regarding preparations for tests and procedures. The Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Scheduling Center and serves as supervisor and trainer as well as assisting with the software and technology applications development and maintenance.

SLPG

The SLPG Central Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the SLPG Central Scheduling Team.

  • Deploy call center agents to meet call volume.

  • Manage Kronos and Workday functions for central scheduling team.

  • Hire and coordinate training of new call center agents.

  • Identify on-going training opportunities and resources to optimize agent efficiency.

  • Monitor performance metrics at both an individual agent level and call center level and implement improvement/optimization plans.

  • Assist the SLPG Patient Access Director in expanding central scheduling to additional specialties.

  • Investigate scheduling issues as reported from provider and clinic staff and work to identify solutions.

  • Participate in provider template management.

  • Other duties as assigned.
