Overview

This leadership role drives the strategic growth and development of the Islamic Wealth Management (IWM) business within HLISB. The Manager will focus on expanding the high-net-worth and Malay customer base by executing key initiatives across the five pillars of IWM, including digital purification, investments, and lifestyle products. This individual will champion customer segmentation-based offerings, manage the Takaful portfolio, and ensure the implementation of Value-Based Intermediation (VBI) principles across all customer journeys.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Strategic Growth and Business Development

  • Drive the growth of the Islamic High Net Worth, Private, and Malay customer base.

  • Champion customer segmentation-based offerings by recommending and developing Islamic Wealth Management products and services, primarily targeting the Malay Muslims/Bumiputera customer segment.

  • Manage and grow the Takaful portfolio.

  • Engage with the Wealth Sales and Business Channel to drive optimized distribution strategies.

2. Product Development and Project Execution

  • Undertake project development, implementation, and deployment of key initiatives for a comprehensive product suite encompassing the five pillars of Islamic Wealth Management.

  • Primary focus involves engaging with relevant authorities, establishing the payment gateway, and executing projects related to Zakat, Waqaf, Sadaqah, and Tabung Haji.

  • Lead the enhancement of the digital customer journey, particularly for the Islamic Wealth Purification pillar.

  • Drive ASBN sales and ASB Financing portfolio and other applicable investment and financing products in tandem with market opportunity.

  • Represent PFS-i as the product manager of investment structures business.

  • Work closely with product providers and internal stakeholders to conceptualize ideas and source for new or enhanced product offerings.

  • Achieve business financials by developing and implementing the product strategy of investment products.

3. Value-Based Intermediation (VBI) and Governance

  • Implement Value-Based Intermediation (VBI) initiatives through improved banking practices and product offerings for the Islamic Wealth Management Journey.

  • Promote the organizational mission and goals, showing the way to achieve them.

  • Respond positively to change, embracing and using new practices or values to accomplish organizational goals.

4. Islamic Digital Lifestyle and Marketing

  • Lead and coordinate all PFS-I and IWM digital marketing (below and above the line) initiatives to build the Bank's image as a leading provider of Islamic Digital Lifestyle.

  • Drive, monitor, and develop customer engagement via various Bank's digital platforms.

  • Act in a proactive manner as the link between marketing, business users, and digital support teams in relation to marketing initiations.

5. Management and Project Leadership

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to deliver sustainable and breakthrough improvement to business processes.

  • Initiate and lead dedicated Islamic products and initiatives to grow Islamic Wealth customers and business.

  • Participate in project management involving people, organizational change management, systems integration, and core process changes.

  • Promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables.

Experience/Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification is required.

  • Experience: Minimum ten (10) years of work experience in related fields, with substantial experience in Islamic finance, wealth management, or banking products.

  • Knowledge:

    • Strong knowledge in a wide array of investment products (for example, equities, bond and currencies market, structured products, etc.) is preferred.

  • Certification / Licensing Requirements (Mandatory):

    • FIMM License

    • IPPC Certified

    • Islamic Financial Planner Certified

  • Certification / Licensing Requirements (Preferred):

    • Additional Takaful/Insurance licenses are preferred.
