Role Mandate:
Accountable for achieving promotional investment targets, suggesting promotional activity, and tailoring activities to banner identity with the goal of contributing to category growth.
Accountabilities:
Accountable to ensure banner merchandising and promotional strategies are planned and communicated to be successfully implemented across our business.
Providing feedback and council to the business on flyer/promotional programs effectiveness for the region.
Partner with the marketing team, operations, vendors and merchandising teams on unique local promotions that are tailored to each region
Responsible for effectively communicating promotional pocket guides to the Operations team
Responsible for the creation and delivery of quarterly and yearly instore merchandising plans
Responsible for program execution progress, ensure N- deadlines are met.
Owns total store communication of merchandising plans including weekly conference calls, execution guides and ad hoc store support. Conduit between store and Merchandising.
Responsible to ensure merchandising plan includes relevant regional product selection (local and national), value and multicultural opportunities
Help to monitor the performance of programs to achieve return on investment
Examine regional competitive activities and recommend responses.
Store merchandising setups and walks
Works closely with the PC Optimum Loyalty support team to implement strong tactics that drive results to our business
What You'll Need:
Post-secondary undergraduate and/or graduate education (finance, economics, pricing)
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience in retail operations and/or merchandising planning preferred.
Detail oriented and strong time management skills.
Independent problem solving
Ability to think critically
Ability to analyze data to bring forward key take always into and easy to read framework
Resourcefulness
Manage and present to a room of executives
Coaching, teaching, managing team
