Role Mandate:  

Accountable for achieving promotional investment targets, suggesting promotional activity, and tailoring activities to banner identity with the goal of contributing to category growth. 

Accountabilities: 

  • Accountable to ensure banner merchandising and promotional strategies are planned and communicated to be successfully implemented across our business. 

  • Providing feedback and council to the business on flyer/promotional programs effectiveness for the region. 

  • Partner with the marketing team, operations, vendors and merchandising teams on unique local promotions that are tailored to each region 

  • Responsible for effectively communicating promotional pocket guides to the Operations team 

  • Responsible for the creation and delivery of quarterly and yearly instore merchandising plans 

  • Responsible for program execution progress, ensure N- deadlines are met. 

  • Owns total store communication of merchandising plans including weekly conference calls, execution guides and ad hoc store support. Conduit between store and Merchandising. 

  • Responsible to ensure merchandising plan includes relevant regional product selection (local and national), value and multicultural opportunities 

  • Help to monitor the performance of programs to achieve return on investment 

  • Examine regional competitive activities and recommend responses. 

  • Store merchandising setups and walks 

  • Works closely with the PC Optimum Loyalty support team to implement strong tactics that drive results to our business  

What You'll Need: 

  • Post-secondary undergraduate and/or graduate education (finance, economics, pricing) 

  • Excellent communication skills. 

  • Previous experience in retail operations and/or merchandising planning preferred. 

  • Detail oriented and strong time management skills. 

  • Independent problem solving 

  • Ability to think critically 

  • Ability to analyze data to bring forward key take always into and easy to read framework 

  • Resourcefulness 

  • Manage and present to a room of executives 

  • Coaching, teaching, managing team
