WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
As a team, we regularly interact with the HR Team and Technology partners, globally. It is our responsibility to partner with Product, Program, Architecture, and Engineering peers and leaders to ensure we are aligning appropriate technology outcomes with prioritized leadership initiatives. You will regularly engage with peer Scrum Leads and engineers on adjacent collaborative squads to plan and deliver outcomes that drive our HR organization.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Scrum Lead with the ability to oversee agile maturity within the teams they work with, drive deliverables to completion, as well as help build a culture of collaboration where every voice is heard.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Operate as a team-based servant leader in service to the team’s needs
- Ensure the team is practicing Agile principles
- Partner with, coach, and support Technical Product Manager in managing the backlog to ensure it is properly prioritized and appropriately sized
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (backlog refinement, planning meetings,
daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demos) - Help prepare the team for and facilitates squad level Quarterly/Program
Increment (PI) planning activities - Establish, track, and communicate Agile metrics (such as team velocity
and sprint progress/burn down chart) - Facilitate alignment and assist Technical Product Manager (TPM) and Delivery
Team with making appropriate commitments - Protect the team from interruptions and distractions to clear a path for
throughput - Identify, remove, and/or escalate risks, roadblocks, and cross team
dependencies that are unresolvable by the team and interfere with the
team’s ability to deliver commitments - Accountable for promoting continuous improvement by coaching the team to
use metrics to identify and measure progress - Interact with other Scrum Leads to increase the effectiveness of the
application of Scrum in the organization and cross-squad/cross-functional
collaboration on delivery execution - Continuously learn new approaches to facilitation, Agile best practices, and
how to improve team dynamics - Help the team to focus on delivery of high-quality stories on a predictable,
sustainable cadence
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or any acceptable combination of education, experience, and training
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience, i.e., on Agile
- Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (e.g.
Jira, Aha!, VersionOne) - Familiarity or experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, LEAN,
Kanban, SAFe, XP Programming, etc. - In-depth understanding of Agile principles and how they apply in workplace
culture - Strong facilitation and coaching skills within teams and groups
- Experience resolving issues across teams
- Effective communication, team dynamics, conflict resolution, mentoring, and
servant leadership skills - Relevant certification in the Scrum/Agile field is preferred. Examples include Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
- Project Management skills and experience are preferred and may be needed as/if necessary
