Databricks Data Architect

The Opportunity:

As part of our team, you will contribute to solutions that have never been implemented before. Your skills and expertise will help us map the path forward. As a Data Architect for a new data platform for critical infrastructure, you will contribute to the establishment of the ingestion methods, data storage, and data transformation methods. You’ll support data architecture-related activities, including extract-transform-load (ETL) processes and data warehouse solutions design, through business needs analysis and routine issue resolution. Put your consulting expertise to use to drive our innovative solutions. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data solutions

• Experience with Databricks design, implementation, optimization, or governance

• Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integration of structured and unstructured data

• Experience with cloud environments, including storage, compute, and networking for data solutions

• Knowledge of federal data governance frameworks, including data classification, security, and compliance

• Knowledge of data security practices, including encryption, access control, and auditing

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• Databricks, AWS, or Data Engineering Certification

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data lakehouse architecture and real-time data streaming

• Experience with federal data standards

• Experience with machine learning pipelines and supporting AI or analytics workloads on Databricks

• Experience with data cataloging and metadata management

• Experience with the implementation and tuning of big data architectures, including Hadoop and Spark, in support of delivering high-value analytics and supporting data-intensive applications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
