We are seeking a talented individual to join our Administration Operations team at Mercer. This role will be based in Adelaide or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This opportunity is offered initially as a 6 month secondment, however due to the growing nature of the advice business within Mercer it is likely these will lead to permanent positions (subject to agreement from the successful candidate at that time)
The Adviser Service Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality administrational support to advice-related requests and transactions within Mercer. You will play a key role in maintaining risk and control governance frameworks, supporting continuous improvement, and enhancing Mercer’s reputation in the local market through strong adviser relationships.
We will count on you to:
Deliver top-level administrational support to internal and external stakeholders including Advisers, Dealer Group representatives, and Mercer Super Advice/Wealth Leads.
Perform peer reviews for complex and non-standard processing and manage responses to complex inquiries, including complaints resolution.
Contribute to the production of Adviser Servicing Monthly Performance Dashboards and complete complex advice-related administration tasks and investigations.
Assist with the design, review, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring compliance and legislative obligations are met through effective process controls.
Support audit activities and implement recommendations to enhance risk management.
Cross train within the Adviser Service team to increase overall service capacity and knowledge sharing.
Role model positive behaviours, uphold Mercer’s values, and foster collaborative working relationships across Administration and Operations.
What you need to have:
Demonstrated experience in superannuation administration.
Strong knowledge of superannuation legislation and systems (ideally Sonata and/or SuperB, Salesforce, Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent organisational, prioritisation, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Self-motivated with a proactive and accountable approach to delivering outstanding service.
