CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for an Enterprise Systems Database Administrator to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. We’re offering a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for this critical position.
Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You’ll have access to big city excitement, a quiet beach walk or small-town Southern hospitality.

Responsibilities:
- Define data requirements; design and deploy databases; and establish guidelines for security, maintenance, utilization, and business continuity to support military IT systems.
- Create strategies to perform repetitive tasks such as data acquisitions, migrations, data recoveries and new database implementations.
- Review, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair database issues and work with vendors to resolve database access/performance issues.
- Tune and optimize databases supporting customer applications and perform routine scheduled database maintenance.
- Create documentation to provide guidelines for maintenance tasks, policies, and procedures.
- Perform analysis for collaboration of database needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware and software.
- Provide on-call support via cell phone after hours, on weekends and holidays; deploy to OCONUS USCENTCOM AOR locations to support operations, projects, and training as needed (up to 25%); and travel to CONUS locations as required.
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date and B.S. in related field, and 5 or more years’ relevant IT experience; OR 7 or more years’ relevant IT experience.
- DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date and ITIL Foundation certification within 60 days from start date.
- Practical database experience (managing SQL Server from an infrastructure perspective; ability to query a database; and troubleshooting, performance tuning, and configuration at the instance level and down (OS, networking, virtualization, storage, etc.) and GitHub or Azure DevOps experience.
- Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with:
- (1) Installation/configuration of Microsoft Windows Server OS (2012 or later) in Host and Compute Environments, and using server images; implementing storage solutions, window containers, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network/server infrastructure, and maintaining and monitoring server environments;
- (2) virtualization (VMWare or Nutanix), storage, group/local policy, and windows server failover clusters;
- (3) managing Microsoft users and permissions, creating active directory domain services (AD DS) forests, troubleshooting networks, and protecting network and user data;
- (4) PowerShell automation and scripting, Desired State Configuration (DSC), and remote CLI management; and
- (5) C# and XAML, visual studio 2015, arrays and collections, working with variables, managing program flow, asynchronous programming, decision and iteration statements, experience with the full life cycle of web applications, designing Worker Sub-Type

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$73,900 - $155,200
