JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate and manage a team for our cargo handling account.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the cargo operation plans to meet account standards.
  • Work on all levels in the operation and widely differing groups of people (airlines, agents and forwarders).
  • Communicate with all Government Authorities for the compliance of aviation and local laws.
  • Oversee handling service for account cargo operation.
  • Answer customer queries as well as monitor agent’s performance of these tasks.
  • Check and ensure compliance of inbound and outbound documentation
  • Oversee Dangerous Goods.
  • Staff Scheduling.
  • Employee evaluations.
  • Monitoring attendance and/or punctuality
  • Training employees on airline procedures per cargo manual
  • Ensuring employees abide to company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee daily operations for export and import operations for the station.
  • Ensure service standards for contracts.
  • Liaison between client and AGI operations personnel.
  • Revenue and cost control responsibilities for cargo handling operations.
  • Manpower and staffing. Labor distribution for contracts.
  • Building and equipment maintenance; i.e. forklifts, pallet systems, dock doors & systems.
  • Assist the General Manager in the everyday operations
  • Responsibilities are not limited to the above job descriptions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiar with airline and international air freight industry.
  • Two-plus years of cargo-operations experience.
  • Knowledge of computer software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good decision making and time management skills; able to multitask.
  • Stand/walk; lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 75 lbs) for duration of work hours.
