We're seeking a Fitness Center Operations Representative who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and helping create exceptional experiences for members, guests, and staff.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position scheduled for 32 hours per week. In this role, you'll serve as a key operational leader during your assigned shift, helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and efficiently run facility while supporting staff, members, and guests throughout the day.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being active, visible, and engaged throughout the facility. You'll spend your day supporting staff, engaging with members, monitoring operations, and helping ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-run environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

What You'll Do

As a Fitness Center Operations Representative, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day success of the facility. Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a role model for outstanding customer service and fostering a professional, welcoming atmosphere

  • Supporting staff and assisting with operational needs across program and service areas

  • Providing facility tours and sharing information about memberships, programs, and services

  • Assisting with implementation and adherence to policies and procedures that support safe, efficient operations

  • Opening, closing, and securing facility areas as assigned

  • Conducting regular facility rounds to monitor operations, staff presence, cleanliness, and member experience

  • Identifying and addressing safety concerns, maintenance needs, and operational issues

  • Responding to medical emergencies and safety incidents according to established protocols

  • Supporting inventory management and monitoring supplies, including first aid and safety equipment

  • Assisting with maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting facility environment

  • Documenting incidents, facility concerns, member feedback, and operational issues

  • Supporting delegated projects and operational initiatives to ensure high-quality service delivery

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates are dependable, service-oriented professionals who can balance customer service, safety, and operational responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in health and fitness, customer service, recreation, business operations, or youth programming

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and critical thinking

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn department-specific software systems

  • Ability to obtain BLS CPR certification within ninety (90) days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of front desk reception and/or customer service experience in a health and fitness facility

  • Experience supporting facility operations, membership services, recreation, or wellness programming

Variable (United States of America)

Schedule: This benefit-eligible position is scheduled for 32 hours per week, typically consisting of four 8-hour shifts.

Team members should be available to support a variety of opening and closing shifts based on operational needs, and flexibility is important as schedules may vary. In this role, you'll serve as a key operational leader during your assigned shift, helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and efficiently run facility while supporting staff, members, and guests throughout the day.
