The Demand Planner is responsible for leading forecasting activities across the North America and Latin America regions, ensuring a reliable demand signal that drives effective supply, inventory, and financial planning. A core focus of this role is the proactive management of Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory. Identifying risks, preventing buildup, and partnering cross-functionally to drive mitigation actions.
What you’ll do
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and improve statistical and business-driven demand forecasts across multiple product lines and markets.
• Utilize business intelligence tools and forecasting systems to create models across various levels, horizons, and aggregation.
• Analyze historical data, demand drivers, seasonality, and market trends to refine forecast accuracy.
E&O Inventory Management
• Own E&O forecasting, tracking, and mitigation.
• Develop early-warning dashboards/models to identify potential slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Collaborate with Sales & Product Management on disposition and lifecycle strategies.
• Partner with sourcing and purchasing team to optimize inventory and reduce over-coverage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Program Management.
• Communicate forecast changes, risks, and opportunities.
• Support new product introductions and transitions with scenario planning.
Data, Systems, and Reporting
• Maintain accuracy of demand planning systems and master data.
• Create and improve KPI dashboards for forecast accuracy, bias, E&O, and inventory health.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, or Supply Chain Analytics.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret large datasets.
• Proficiency in forecasting systems, ERP tools, and data visualization platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of inventory management concepts.
• English fluency required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, Qlik, or analytics tools.
• Experience with Oracle ERP.
• Experience managing E&O programs or lifecycle planning.
• Experience supporting North America and/or Latin America regions.
