This is an exciting opportunity to join the Substrate Business Group which collaborates with the Advanced Packaging Test Manufacturing and Foundry Services teams to deliver supply chain sourcing solutions for Intel Foundry. The group is responsible for managing substrate supply and partners with the external ecosystem, internal business units, technology development, HVM, and planning teams to develop and execute substrate sourcing and supply chain solutions. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Capacity Planner to own and manage the planning of our highly critical and complex substrate capacity network. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise who can navigate complex supply chain challenges, influence senior leadership, and drive capacity strategies that align with our technology roadmap and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Capacity Network Management
Own and manage planning of the highly critical and complex substrate capacity network.
Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to define the long-range capacity strategy, with consideration of product roadmaps, demand, parameters, factory capability, affordability, space, and forecast uncertainty. Identify risks and opportunities in the strategic roadmap, collaborating with partners to quantify impacts and develop solutions.
Present and secure ratification of strategic recommendations to senior leadership through data-driven analysis and clear business impact assessment
Technical Leadership and Influence
Understand Intel's technical roadmap and positions the substrate capacity network to meet Intel's needs. Educate and influence product designers and senior leaders on the impact of product design/roadmap decisions on sourcing, manufacturing, and availability risks.
Apply technical/engineering background to create and communicate accurate capability and capacity requirements from product designs and parameters.
Translate complex technical requirements into actionable capacity planning strategies
Forecasting and Planning
Forecast requirements and parameters for products to suppliers and develop capacity strategies to meet business and customer requirements
Develop, optimize, coordinate, and drive execution of capacity planning methodologies and processes with seamless consistency.
Cross-functional Execution and Risk Management
Collaborate with cross functional teams and suppliers to develop detailed capacity roadmap execution plans
Monitor project performance against schedule and assess sub-project dependencies such as demand changes, process/yield readiness, and product timing. Adjust strategy to ensure alignment with the overall objectives.
Maintaining accountability, anticipates and communicates availability risks with timeliness and drives mitigating strategies with key stakeholders and often senior leadership to ensure supply commitments.
Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related technical field with at least 6 years of experience.
Masters's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related technical field with at least 4 years of experience.
Ph.D. degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related technical field with at least 2 years of experience.
3+ years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes, particularly substrate or advanced packaging technologies.
3+ years with roadmaps that describe the action plan to translate strategic objectives into short- and long-term milestones.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related technical field with 4+ years of experience.
Supply chain or TD role in a fabless environment, with external manufacturing and suppliers.
Experience managing complex, multi-tier supplier networks
Experience developing and implementing planning methodologies and processes.
Experience working in matrix organizations with multiple stakeholder groups.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $126,410.00-252,350.00 USD
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
