A Day in The Life Of:

In this role you will maintain and develop relationships with internal customers and interface with Senior Management; you will also be the first line of contact for external visitors. As the role is visitor/client facing, it is important to present well and always act in a courteous and professional manner.

The daily tasks for this role will include the following but this list is not inclusive and the receptionist may be asked to provide other support to site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and direct all visitors, clients, and vendors professionally, ensuring a positive and inclusive front-of-house experience.

  • Coordinate logistics for guests visiting site leadership and the CIC, including confirming appointments, issuing visitor badges, managing the Visitors Safe Permit portal, and organising security access cards.

  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and general queries, ensuring timely and accurate communication.

  • Provide general administrative support to site leadership, including calendar coordination, meeting logistics, internal communications, and ad hoc requests.

  • Maintain records such as visitor logs, employee timecards, and support reporting requirements.

  • Offer additional assistance to internal departments as required, including travel coordination and facilities support.

  • Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with proficiency to complete daily tasks efficiently and professionally.

  • This dynamic role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while representing Medtronic with professionalism and care.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Required minimum level 6 qualification.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure a positive visitor experience.

  • Skilled in coordinating logistics for executive and client visits, including scheduling, security access, and on-site preparations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries.

  • Competent in supporting senior leadership through calendar coordination, meeting logistics, internal communications, and handling ad hoc administrative tasks.

  • Experience maintaining accurate records such as visitor logs and employee timecards.

  • Adaptable in providing additional assistance across internal departments, including travel planning and facilities coordination.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for daily administrative and communication tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to represent the organisation with professionalism, care, and discretion.
