Job Description Summary

Senior finance leader accountable for the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of the company’s financial records across the region. The role has end-to-end responsibility for financial statement governance, including oversight of statutory obligations, audit coordination, and the delivery of high-quality monthly and quarterly financial close processes.

The Controller ensures full compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and Group Accounting policies, and leads the preparation, review, and submission of US GAAP financial statements, statutory financial statements, statutory-to-GAAP reconciliations, and all required regulatory filings. Operating in a highly visible and collaborative environment, the Controller partners closely with Finance, Operations, Corporate, and external stakeholders to ensure best-in-class financial reporting, strong internal controls, and a robust governance framework.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

Prolec:

  • Lead the monthly and quarterly close, ensuring timely and accuracy, including FRP

  • Account reconciliation process implementation and preparation

  • Oversee general ledger integrity, adjusting entries, and open-item resolution

  • Perform financial risk assessments, identifying reporting and operational risks and drive timely resolution

  • Drive assessment of functional currencies by legal entity… lead change as required

  • Assure push-down of purchase accounting

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and internal accounting policies & ensure consistent application of accounting standards across all legal entities

  • Review transactional tax calculations and filings, including management of external service providers

  • Support SOX readiness and implementation through process documentation and the design, testing, and implementation of internal controls.

  • Provide technical accounting leadership across the business. Lead consultations with Technical Accounting and Segment Global Controller

  • Preparation of documentation for Disclosure Committee

  • Preparation of representation letter

  • Organize system, accounting, and drive policy/process education.

  • Change management, including leading and developing the controllership teams

  • Assess opportunities for centralization and optimization, partnering with Global Process Leaders

Americas Region Statutory:

  • Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of statutory ledgers

  • Own the delivery of all statutory financial statements, filings, and disclosures in compliance with local regulations

  • Ensure timely and accurate statutory-to-GAAP reconciliations

  • Lead the resolution of statutory accounting matters, including identification, analysis, documentation, and conclusion of technical accounting issues

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of statutory audits

  • Responsible for the submission of financial statements and their quality in compliance with internal and governmental regulations

  • Lead transformation, simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability

  • Manage cost control for the function, including audit fees and outsourced service providers

  • Manage staffing and performance management

  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement

  • Coordinate the upload data into HFM

  • Execute geography-specific reporting requirements (i.e., US escheatment, statistical reporting)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Grid Solutions business

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Controllership / Accounting

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and Group Accounting policies

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $124,900.00 and $208,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
