Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python (Flask), and MySQL.
• Work on basic front-end and back-end tasks as directed.
• Write and document code with guidance to ensure consistency and quality.
• Participate in weekly meetings.
• Learn and apply best practices in web development.
• Assist in testing and debugging.
• Support implementation of production improvement and automation projects.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Technical Skills:

Frontend Development:

• Basic Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of how to create and style web pages using these technologies.

Backend Development:

• Familiarity with Python, especially using Flask or a desire to learn it.
• Basic understanding of how web servers and APIs work.

Database Management:

• Basic knowledge of MySQL or any SQL-based database.
• Understanding of how to perform simple database queries.

Problem-Solving Skills:

• Basic troubleshooting skills with a willingness to seek help when needed.
• Ability to think logically and approach problems methodically.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, both in writing and verbally.
• Comfortable asking questions and clarifying tasks to ensure understanding.

Soft Skills:

• Strong work ethic and ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to Learn:

• Eagerness to develop skills in web development and expand knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python (Flask), and MySQL.
• Open to feedback and eager to learn from more experienced team members.

Education and Experience:

• No formal experience required, but any personal projects, online courses, or coding bootcamps are a plus.
• Familiarity with using Git or other version control systems is a bonus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working with equipment & instruments.
• Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds at a time, multiple times a day as needed.
• Ability to work 40 hours a week, 1st shift.
• This position may require occasional off-shift support as needed.
• Position may occasionally involve providing support in the manufacturing shop floor and warehousing areas as needed.
