ROLE OVERVIEW

We are hiring a Vice President to lead the deployment and scaling of agent-based automation within Global Delivery Simplification. This role is accountable for translating the agentic AI strategy into working, controlled, and value-generating solutions across selected operational domains in a highly regulated environment.

The Vice President will own delivery execution and in-life management of agentic AI products across one or more of Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Transfer Agency, or Custody, ensuring solutions are deployed safely, adopted effectively, and sustained in business-as-usual.

This role combines hands-on product ownership, POD leadership, and stakeholder management, requiring strong delivery discipline, sound judgment, and accountability for outcomes through and beyond go-live.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Vice President leads one or more cross-functional PODs responsible for building, deploying, and stabilizing agentic AI solutions across core business services.

The role is accountable for product delivery, roadmap execution, adoption, and value realization of assigned agent-based automations, ensuring solutions deliver measurable operational impact while meeting regulatory, audit, data governance, and model risk management expectations.

Success requires the ability to convert strategic direction into deliverable increments, balance speed with operational resilience, and embed controls, auditability, and explainability into every release.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver business outcomes for agent-based automation, including efficiency, capacity, quality, client experience, and risk reduction.

Translate the agentic AI vision into clear product backlogs, release plans, and deployment milestones for assigned domains.

Execute delivery priorities across the assigned operational area(s) based on materiality, risk, and value.

Ensure product delivery aligns with regulatory expectations, enterprise AI risk frameworks, and control standards.

Convert simplification objectives into actionable roadmaps and user stories for the POD.

Lead agile delivery within the POD, ensuring consistency of standards, sprint outcomes, and operational readiness.

Support lifecycle management of agentic AI solutions, including approval gates, human-in-the-loop design, escalation paths, and remediation actions.

Embed controls, auditability, explainability, and evidence capture into every deployed agent.

Recommend decisions to scale, pause, remediate, or retire agents based on performance, risk, and value data.

Monitor production performance including accuracy trends, failure patterns, exceptions, and control effectiveness.

Partner with operations, risk, compliance, audit, data, and technology teams to ensure alignment and smooth handover to BAU.

Track and report value realization, risk metrics, and control outcomes to senior leadership.

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

Experience leading agile PODs and cross-functional delivery teams.

Clear communication and influencing skills across business, technology, and control functions.

Solid working knowledge of at least one operational domain (Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Transfer Agency, or Custody).

Working understanding of agentic AI risk, evaluation, monitoring, and control design.

Ability to interpret telemetry, performance data, and exception trends to drive product decisions.

Strong product ownership skills, including backlog management, prioritization, and delivery governance.
Sound judgment in balancing automation ambition with operational risk and regulatory scrutiny.

Experience leading agile PODs and cross-functional delivery teams.

Clear communication and influencing skills across business, technology, and control functions.

Solid working knowledge of at least one operational domain (Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Transfer Agency, or Custody).

Working understanding of agentic AI risk, evaluation, monitoring, and control design.

Ability to interpret telemetry, performance data, and exception trends to drive product decisions.

Working knowledge of data governance, model risk management, and audit expectations in regulated environments.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

7+ years of experience delivering products, platforms, or automation solutions in regulated operational environments.

Experience in global financial services operations.

Demonstrated hands-on delivery of automation or AI solutions from concept through deployment.

Experience working with risk, compliance, and audit stakeholders.

Proven track record of transitioning solutions into stable business-as-usual operations.

Experience operating in product-centric, agile teams.

Minimum Salary:

zł282,000 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
