Senior Business Analyst DIA Commercial Customer Pricing

The Principal Business Analyst possesses in-depth knowledge of the business domain, relevant technologies, and organizational strategy to provide holistic, enterprise-wide consulting advice. In this role, you will apply systems thinking to navigate the complexity of interconnected systems, overseeing initiatives with full autonomy and leading analysis efforts across highly ambiguous spaces. Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership, you will actively shape long-term roadmaps, drive consensus through persuasive communication, and recommend optimal technology solutions for sustainable business transformation.

Description of the area

Join our Diagnostics Commercial function within Roche Digital Technology (RDT) Organization and become the vital bridge between strategic business vision and cutting-edge AI delivery. In this role, you will champion the scaling and evolution of our Sales Price Advisor (SPA)—a sophisticated, AI-driven dynamic pricing engine designed to revolutionize customer quotation strategies and operations.

Positioned at the dynamic intersection of AI  and Commercial Business, you will act as a true hybrid professional. This is a unique opportunity to shape high-impact technical data foundations while driving high-level business stakeholder engagement within a collaborative, globally dispersed team of experts. We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a strong growth mindset and a passion for working directly with business stakeholders; in turn, we are fully committed to training and upskilling the right candidate to bridge any gaps in technical capabilities or specific domain knowledge.

The opportunity: 

  • Business & Technology Liaison: Acts as the primary bridge between commercial business stakeholders and technical AI/data delivery teams, translating complex pricing needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.

  • Strategic Content Leadership: Autonomously oversees large-scale, highly ambiguous initiatives, defining analysis efforts, navigating complex frameworks, and delegating work while ensuring top-tier quality of business analysis deliverables.

  • Accountability & Problem Solving: Leads cross-functional root-cause analysis to solve complex business problems, proactively prevents scope creep, and takes ultimate ownership of aligning deliverables with broader corporate objectives.

  • Stakeholder Management & Advisory: Serves as a trusted advisor to leadership to shape long-term business strategy, actively navigates and resolves cross-organizational conflicts, and empowers teams in stakeholder engagement.

  • Strategic Impact & Risk Evaluation: Drives project value by leading advanced value analysis and risk assessments on strategic solutions, taking a holistic (micro and macro) approach to shape long-term product and program roadmaps.

  • SPA Engine Lifecycle Management: Manages the end-to-end requirement lifecycle—from initial elicitation and analysis to leading the implementation of continuous enhancements for the SPA engine, partnering closely with backend technical teams to optimize system integration, data delivery, and the underlying AI models.

  • Global Roll-Out: Lead the onboarding of global affiliates to the SPA solution on the IT side, ensuring seamless adoption and alignment with corporate standards.

  • Value Demonstration & System Support: Owns and executes monthly SPA value measurement reporting, analyzing complex datasets to quantify business impact and alignment with strategic goals, while providing robust technical operations and proactive incident resolution to guarantee data pipeline stability and performance.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in a quantitative or technical field, such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, or Business Administration.

  • 5+ years of proven experience in Data Analytics, BI, Business Analytics, Data Science, or Data Engineering, with a track record of autonomously managing large-scale, complex initiatives in highly ambiguous environments.

  • Core Data Foundations: Deep expertise in statistical analysis, data modeling and data architecture, backed by hands-on experience with SQL

  • Integration & Visualization: Solid understanding of system integrations via APIs and web technologies. Hands-on experience in data visualization / reporting tools like Tableau.

  • Task Automation & Programming Knowledge: Hands-on experience with task automation and workflow orchestration (e.g., SQL Server Administration/Jobs/schedulers, GitLab/GitHub pipelines). Familiarity with Python, Jupyter Notebooks, data manipulation libraries (pandas/polars). (Preferred)

  • Prior experience working directly within commercial, pricing, or sales-adjacent domains, combined with mastery in requirements management and deep domain knowledge. Exposure to or experience working with advanced pricing optimization software and machine learning models such as Neural Networks.  (Preferred).

  • Applies holistic systems thinking and advanced Business Analysis consultancy concepts to conduct deep root-cause analyses, perform risk assessments, and tailor complex methodologies to fit unique problem spaces.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a proactive mindset, dedicated to driving cross-functional collaboration, contributing to organizational development, and mentoring junior BA practitioners within the Community of Practice.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 228,900.00 PLN-425,100.00 PLN. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors, including your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 20% subject to both individual and company performance.
