Job Summary:

The Digital Transformation Lead will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT digital projects, including custom software and application development and third-party integrations, according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver digital projects according to plan. The Digital Transformation Lead will also define the digital project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.  This position will drive change that optimizes business processes, improves our customer experiences, and fosters innovation to maintain a competitive advantage.

Job Description:

  • Assess the current technological infrastructure, collaborate with business partners to identify areas for improvement and lead the adoption of digital solutions to drive efficiency and innovation.

  • Guide and accelerate digital strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Facilitate communication between cross functional teams, including software developers, engineers, and other IT staff to ensure the seamless integration of digital technologies through product conceptualization, development, check points and successful launch.

  • Oversee the integration of third-party software and services into existing systems.

  • Develop the definition of digital project scope and objectives in collaboration with the VP of Technology, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

  • Develop comprehensive digital project plans to monitor and track progress of application development and third-party integrations.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and cybersecurity best practices in all digital projects.

  • Lead IT digital project planning sessions.

  • Determine and maintain the digital project schedule based on digital project specifications by monitoring progress, assigning/coordinating activities and resolving problems.

  • Assign digital project responsibilities to internal digital project team and third-party vendors/contractors for the flawless execution of IT initiatives.

  • Ensure that all IT digital projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risk to ensure delivery commitments including adjusting the digital project plan and communicating changes/updates to key stakeholders.

  • Manage changes to the digital project scope, digital project schedule, and digital project costs using appropriate verification techniques.

  • Measure performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Prepare status reports, recommend activities, and escalate to management as needed.

  • Champion the change process, including training and support for associates adapting to new technologies.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and all stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive digital project documentation.

  • Conduct research on emerging digital trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Obtains and conveys information as needed.

  • Promotes goodwill and a positive image of the Company.

  • Cooperates with Digital project Team in integrating sections of the system.  Provides support and assistance to team members.

  • Keeps management well informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

  • Completes assigned documentation accurately and timely. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or information systems. PMP certification preferred.                  

  • Four years’ experience with of scrum and agile software development.

  • Proficiency in use of analytics tools.

  • Excellent knowledge of user center design principles.       

  • Four years’ experience as an IT digital project manager.   

  • Critical thinking, ability to prioritize effectively, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work with large teams.
