About the Role:

The GovCloud Federal IT Operations team is rapidly growing, entering new markets and adding innovative new features to our products while expanding our product line in support of our federal customers and internal federal teams.

We are seeking a top-performing Atlassian Engineer who is knowledgeable working within the stringent guidelines of Fedramp and DOD IL 4/5,  to join us on the journey of modernizing and streamlining our delivery in the digital world, with a focus on user experience, compliance, automation and scaling. In this role, you will work hands-on in helping shape the future direction of GovCloud and its long-term strategy.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Atlassian Engineer to join our team and drive the development, customization, and maintenance of our Atlassian suite of products.

You should also have a strong background with working in GovCloud in support of Federal initiatives.  You possess a strong technical background and the ability to methodically assess, prioritize and solve complex problems in the digital identity space. You demonstrate attention to detail and focus on excellent customer-centric solutions. Ability to tackle an independent work stream and drive progress is key.

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Atlassian Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and customization of Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other related products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimal performance, scalability, and usability of these tools to meet the needs of our organization.
 

Administration and Configuration:

  • Manage and maintain the Atlassian suite of products, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

  • Configure Jira projects, workflows, schemes, permissions, and notifications.

  • Customize Confluence spaces, templates, and macros to enhance collaboration and documentation.

Customization and Integration:

  • Develop custom plugins, scripts, and add-ons to extend the functionality of Atlassian tools.

  • Integrate Atlassian products with other systems and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

  • Collaborate with development teams to automate workflows and processes using Atlassian tools.

Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to users, resolving issues related to the Atlassian suite.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to address performance and stability issues.

  • Stay updated with the latest Atlassian product releases, features, and best practices.

Training and Documentation:

  • Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation for end-users and administrators.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, customizations, and integrations.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 8-11+ years of experience in administering and customizing Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

  • Strong knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, and scripting (Groovy, ScriptRunner).

  • Experience with Confluence macros, templates, and customization.

  • Proficiency in integrating Atlassian tools with other systems using APIs, webhooks, and automation tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Atlassian certifications (ACP-100, ACP-120, etc.) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):

  • Strong experience with Google Workspace and GCP administration -Apps script, Workspace APIs, login flows (OAuth2), Integrations.

  • Experience with Workday, OKTA, ServiceNow and SailPoint integration.

  • Docker, Kubernetes or containerization experience.

  • Knowledge of administering Splunk products.

Additional Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen operating on U.S. Soil with ability to meet customer and government screening standards applicable to this role, including a Criminal Justice Information Services screening with fingerprint scan. Due to the citizenship requirement for this role, which supports U.S. federal, state, and/or local government customers, citizenship will be verified through two of the following REAL ID Act documents: U.S. Passport, Passport Card, REAL Driver's License, Global Entry Card, U.S. Government CAC/PIV.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $115,000 - $185,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
