About the Role
The Medical Underwriter is responsible for the daily operations of all New Business submission which includes among other data verification, follow-up, underwriting, policy issuance and statistic reporting. This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the day-to-day new business cases submitted are processed and underwritten within the guideline, standard and in timely manner. He/she is also responsible to work closely with the team member to ensure consistency in underwriting and quality service in place. He/she is to ensure the daily routine and the Key performance indicators (KPIs) are delivered with quality timely. He/she is responsible to set-up the panel of doctors and medical guideline including ME/NME limit table for all products and risk type. This includes, conduct survey from local practices, obtain group best practices, discuss with the group underwriters, Reinsurer and or medical doctors to ensure the guideline is relevant for all different customer segments.Roles and Responsibilities:
