About the team

Worldpay, LLC seeks EMV/Payments Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients.

What you will be doing

The EMV/Payments Engineer will identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through product management and/or client representatives.  Additionally, the role will:

• Interact with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software.
• Train and communicate with clients on systems application.
• Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or internet-related computer programs (code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially).
• Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Train and communicate with internal client training, client relationship and sales teams on systems application.
• Responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results.
• Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible  experience in the job offered or a related occupation:

• performing full-stack with .NET C#; working with end-to-end systems development life cycles;
• selecting and deploying cloud technologies in Azure;
• developing and utilizing sequence diagrams and class models; working with microservices/REST API based architecture;
• developing high performance, multi-threaded, enterprise grade applications;
• writing understandable and testable code while embracing unit and integration test concepts and mocking frameworks;
• working in electronic payment industry;
• working with online transaction processing system;
• utilizing Ingenico payment hardware including Telium, Tetra, and Axium; utilizing Verifone payment hardware including Vx, Mx, and Engage; utilizing EMV processing including certifications using UL/Collis and ICC/Viable tools;
• and working with load tests and simulating heavy device traffic.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policy. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
