We are looking for a passionate, empathetic Support Worker with a can-do attitude and positive growth mindset to join our vibrant team at Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) Lifestyles, on a Casual basis.

As part of CPA's Community Based Program, this role works one on one with clients taking them into the community assisting with appointments and various other activities.

About the role

Your role centers on supporting people with disability to live meaningful lives, and actively drive their own decisions and goals.

Some things our clients love doing:

  • Expressing themselves through creative mediums e.g. art, cooking, gardening
  • Selling or exhibiting things they’ve created to the community
  • Maintaining their health and wellbeing e.g. yoga, gym
  • Community activities, such as appointments, shopping, maintaining relationships with friends and family, going to park

Requirements

  • Able to drive across CPA locations of Stockton and Wallsend
  • Minimum 3 day a week availability across 7 days
  • 1 day availability across weekends
  • Minimum P2 driver’s license
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities to reach their goal
