E-Commerce Solution Architect (Adobe Commerce / MuleSoft)

Job Summary

As a E-Commerce Store Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a scalable e-commerce application including the integration solutions, using the MuleSoft Platform for our Parts Store. You will work closely with Product team, business units, and other Architects to understand the requirements, define the architecture, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet the business needs and expectations. You will also provide technical leadership, guidance, and best practices to the Adobe Commerce development and the MuleSoft integration team and ensure compliance with standards and methodologies for both.


Responsibilities

  • Sharing Adobe Commerce best practices with technical stakeholders
  • Reviewing solution proposals and guarding against unnecessary customizations
  • Promoting reuse of the core B2C and Adobe Commerce workflows over customization
  • Guarding compatibility with native functionality to safeguard compatibility with future Adobe product roadmaps
  • Highlighting the importance of scalable patterns and architecture and providing ways to achieve this
  • Reviewing high-level and low-level designs, and approving them once they adhere to the project standards
  • Providing commentary on solution proposals, high-level and low-level designs in a coaching manner
  • Executing the final code review of all Adobe Commerce customizations, ensurinskills
  • g that the code meets quality standards and that it is architecturally sound and necessary.
  • Assisting the technical leads in Adobe Commerce related queries that they are not able to resolve
  • Highlighting identified project risks and solution directions
  • Setting up communications with technical leads from related workstreams, such as core  B2C, DevOps, QA and the Integration Layer.

  • Design and develop integration solutions using the MuleSoft Platform, including APIs, connectors, message queues, and data transformation.
  • Apply integration patterns, principles, and best practices to ensure high performance, scalability, security, and reliability of the solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of the integration solutions.
  • Document the integration architecture, design, and specifications using MuleSoft tools and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the integration team and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and other Architects to understand the requirements, scope, and deliverables of the integration projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in MuleSoft and related technologies.
  • Determine the scope and scale of MuleSoft integration projects based on requirements.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in e-commerce


Knowledge & Skills

  • 4+ years of experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento 2)
  • 7+ years of experience in PHP building object-oriented websites
  • 5+ years of experience in ecommerce
  • Knowledge and experience with design and architectural patterns, including MVC, GoF, and Enterprise Integration patterns
  • Solid experience interacting with MySQL database systems through abstraction layer, plus the ability to write raw SQL queries
  • Excellent experience using PHP to create and consume web services (SOAP, XML-RPC) and/or other experience implementing data integrations within the platform
  • 5+ years of experience in integration development using the MuleSoft Platform or similar technologies.
  • 2+ years of experience in integration architecture and design using MuleSoft or similar technologies.
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer and MuleSoft Certified Architect certifications are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns, principles, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services, JSON, XML, and data transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of MuleSoft connectors, message queues
  • Strong knowledge of MuleSoft tools, such as Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Design Center, Anypoint Exchange, and Anypoint Management Center.
  • Strong knowledge of MuleSoft security, performance, and deployment features (CI/CD).
  • Knowledge on Runtime Fabric specificities
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and tools
  • Ability to understand /explain requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other project members
