Job Description:

Reporting to our NSW State Manager, the Quality and Compliance Manager’s key deliverable is to guide compliance and quality improvement activities through engaging and partnering with the Facility Managers at our 6 Sydney homes.

A solution focused person, you will enjoy working with people to translate the standards into practical implementation.  You will be able to work autonomously in managing your workload and thrive in working with our Facility Managers as your peers and team. 

This is a permanent full-time position that allows flexibility to work from any SVCS location, WFH and with a requirement to regularly attend facilities.

About the role

  • Regular travel to our six Sydney homes as necessary – Auburn, Bronte, Edgecliff, Haberfield, Heathcote and Yennora.
  • Through influencing and a peer-based partner role, continue to uplift our care through education and expertise in quality and the Aged Care Standards.
  • Utilise a coaching and mentor approach to support, and guide facilities, ensuring standards are consistently achieved.
  • Ensure the standard operating model for quality is consistently implemented at each home.  
  • Identify areas of improvement in quality & operational compliance and implement strategies to address including implementation and monitoring of Plans for Continuous Improvement.  
  • Prepare, attend and support homes’ assessment contacts and re-accreditation visits and contribute to responses and communications with the Commission.   
  • Leads responses to ACQSC inquiries, including feedback responses, SIRS investigations and audit outcome responses.   
  • Provide feedback regarding issues with systems to the State Manager and centralised clinical governance team.  
  • Ensure facility compliance in incident reporting and management, national mandatory quality indicators, auditing, reporting and reviewing of clinical incidents and provide reports to Facility Managers and the State Manager.  
  • Identify trends and potential gaps or risks in the homes    
  • Review and provide feedback with regards to systems/procedure changes and provide guidance and assistance to facilities regarding systems.   

About you

  • Prior experience in a frontline health position or Registered Nurse (essential).
  • Sound experience in a RAC and detailed understanding of the Aged Care Standards (essential)
  • Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Well-developed critical thinking & analytical skills
  • Be a solution focused people leader
  • Willingness to embrace the Heartprint model of compassionate, holistic, person-centred care
  • Experience in Aged Care Standards, SIRS, Not-for-profit &/or report writing (highly desirable)
  • Have your own vehicle and full driver’s licence (essential)
  • Willingness to meet pre-employment requirements including NDIS Worker Screening Check
