Castleton Commodities International (www.cci.com) is looking to hire a detail-oriented and motivated FP&A Analyst to join the Controller’s team in the Stamford, CT office. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to key financial processes and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced energy commodities trading environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of financial principles, and an eagerness to learn and grow within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to help drive data-informed business decisions.
  • Conduct variance analysis and develop insights into financial performance across different business segments.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess business performance, identify trends, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Trading, Risk, and Operations to gather data, support financial planning efforts, and analyze business drivers.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of presentation materials for senior leadership.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data and assist in maintaining data integrity across systems.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing processes and propose improvements to improve the use of key metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably in the energy, commodities, or financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with financial modeling and analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP and S/4HANA preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
