A caregiver in this position works 5:30am to 1:30pm OR 6:00am - 2:30pm.
 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Collect soiled linens and stock and distribute clean linens.  

  • Perform daily inventory to ensure clean linens and scrubs are stocked.  

  • Record and process orders for lab coats and uniforms.  

  • Help fit caregivers for new uniforms.  

  • Issue lab coats and uniforms to authorized caregivers.  

  • Sort and inspect returned uniforms.  

  • Operate heat seal, button and embroidery machines.  

  • Deliver lab coats and uniforms to locker rooms and coat closets.  

  • Unload soiled items from gravity fed chutes.  

  • Assemble various linen packs for use in surgery and other departments.  


Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • A high school diploma or GED.  


Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Computer or data entry experience.  

  • Six months of experience in a customer service or laundry environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

  • Ability to move items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

  • Ability to inspect equipment

  • May require working with some exposure to communicable disease
