Vistra’s Generation Services engineering and subject matter expert teams serve Vistra’s power generation fleet of assets by providing engineering and technical expertise. Engineering support ranges from providing recommendations for operations and maintenance practices, retrofit and repair design specifications, troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failures, development of standardization procedures, and much more.  The successful candidate will work with team members from Generation Services’ Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineering team members to support the generation plants’ mechanical engineering needs.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work with the Generation Services engineering team to support the plants with mechanical engineering programmatic and emergent needs. The activities will include:

• Support fleet mechanical issues specific to rotating equipment and develop actions plans
• Support operational anomaly investigations and develop action plans
• Support fleet program information gathering and management
• Develop scope and design information for component inspection and repairs
• The internship will also include some rotational exposure to other departments within the Generation Services organization to demonstrate additional roles and services within the organization.
• Basic business acumen training
