Leidos Corporate is in search of a Network Operations Engineer to join our task force at the CIO, supporting our Network Operations Center. The Network Operations Center provides day-to-day operations in support of the corporate LeidosNet environment, supporting over ~47k customers and 200+ remote sites. This team is responsible for the monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance & support using several tools and automation. 

This is 100% remote work that requires the ability to work a flexible schedule supporting our global user base in different time zones. Shift style work and some travel are also required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incidents and triage issues identified by automation, identify scope, and gather information to ensure cases are properly documented in our ITSM tool, ServiceNow.
  • Responsible for researching functionality and usability related issues.
  • Work with other IT personnel to understand the nature of the issue and communicate steps to resolve and/or consult, and escalate to the next tier when needed.
  • You will also be involved in configuration of equipment using standard templates and coordinating installation in the field.
  • Ensure delivery and design appropriate plans for incident recovery, network changes and adherence to configuration standards.
  • Assist or oversee major incidents, major change or introduction of new technologies within the environment.
  • Responsible for the technical success of network services within the environment.
  • Contributor into the development of the Network Operations Strategy and into supporting organizational strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 – 8 years of prior network support experience. Additional years of network support experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship is required due to federal contracts related to this role.
  • Experience using ITSM ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • Strong Cisco switching configuration skills.
  • Strong Cisco VPN / VRF skills
  • Prior experience with Aruba or Cisco Wi-Fi is required
  • VMWare troubleshooting experience
  • Passion for customer service.
  • High level of initiative, ownership & accountability.
  • Ability to work alone, and with a team.
  • Strong interpersonal verbal & written communication skills.
  • Logical troubleshooting ability and analytical skill.
  • Willing and able to work rotating shift to support our global user base in different time zones. Some travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • CCNP or equivalent desired.
  • F5 BIG-IP, F5 Portal, or F5 Load Balancing (VIP)
  • Python scripting experience or other scripting background.
  • Linux troubleshooting experience.
  • NSX service management and troubleshooting experience.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
