JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Follow established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective clerical support to the transport and distribution unit or department.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Respond to routine internal and customer enquires on delivery times and the status of shipments and orders so that enquiries are dealt with promptly and accurately.
• Enter data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date transportation records and to track the status of orders and deliveries.
• Contact shipping agencies, transport companies, and customers to verify delivery prices and schedules.
